The Beatles

The Beatles were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool in 1960. They were one of the most successful and bands in the history of popular music.
From 1962, the group consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
John Winston Ono Lennon was born on 9th October 1940 and died on 8th December 1980. He was an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, artist and writer.
Sir James Paul McCartney was born on 18th June 1942 and he is an English musician, singer, songwriter and composer. McCartney is the most commercially successful songwriter in the history of popular music, according to Guinness World Records.
George Harrison was on 25th February 1943and died on 29th November 2001. He was an English rock guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor and film producer. Often referred to as ‘the quiet Beatle’, Harrison was a follower of Indian religion. Harrison is listed at number 21 in Rolling Stones Magazine's list of "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".
Richard Starkey was born on 7th July 1940. He’s better known by his stage name Ringo Starr. He is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and actor who gained worldwide fame as the drummer for ‘The Beatles’. When the band formed in 1960, Starr belonged to another Liverpool band, ‘Rory Storm and the Hurricanes’. He became ‘The Beatles' drummer in August 1962, replacing Pete Best.
